What can companies do to create a respectful environment for their employees and clients?
YES Institute facilitates deep conversations on diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workplace. With the Great Resignation that companies have been facing for the last couple of years, workplaces are intentionally seeking ways to improve retention and shift company culture. A PEW research study showed that over 57% of employees in 2021 quit because they felt disrespected at work. Workplace culture continues to shift as companies find new ways to include respect as one of their guiding principles.
Our team is grateful to receive requests from companies who recognize challenges as opportunities for expansion. Recently we were invited by Kaufman Rossin to facilitate an open discussion on gender and orientation in their workplace. Our communication model allows for participants to be vulnerable in ways that are uncommon in workplaces. The participants courageously shared their own experiences and expressed their concerns and hopes for the future.
“This session was very impactful, and taught me a lot about perspective and how everyone has different life experiences that we need to be mindful of. I hope the firm can move in a direction to hire professionals like TJ. I hope the firm will be ready soon!”
“Amazing session. So glad to have an opportunity for open dialogue on these important issues. It was great to share and hear from others about their experiences.”
“It was a great opportunity to see how our community is supporting the changes in society.”
“Very informative session on gender experiences and discrimination.”
“Great presentation on how to make our workplaces and services offered more inclusive!”
YES Institute understands each workplace navigates sensitive conversations uniquely. Our approach takes into consideration the specific needs of the company, the people, and overall purpose of the training. Our interactive dialogues create an open space for participants to reflect on their own journey of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This allows for each person to get curious about their own experiences. Being courageous and sharing these moments allows colleagues to connect and be with one another authentically. YES Institute leads with authenticity as a foundational value that creates a respectful workplace for all.
