As Give Miami Day approaches, two members of the YES Institute Board of Directors share why they give and why they are asking you to join them.

Barbara Gray

Barbara has been a donor to YES Institute for many years. Her reason is clear-eyed and urgent. “The incidents of suicide, discrimination, and violence against youth have not gone away, and we need to continue to work on innovative and meaningful solutions,” she says. “YES Institute does that relentlessly in our communities.”

 

Dennis Edwards

Dennis, a long-time supporter, has seen the impact up close. “Whether it be educating us about gender and orientation issues, or helping families access support and navigate difficult conversations when faced with a child who is struggling,” he says, YES Institute has been at the forefront of this work for over 30 years. According to Dennis, YES Institute is “always a step ahead in recognizing new needs, while remaining focused on the core mission of suicide prevention and the healthy development of all kids.”
