Welcome Back!

Our team is excited to support families as we work to create a community in which all youth develop as healthy individuals free of suicide, violence and discrimination.

In 2023 our team received double the number of phone calls and inquiries for services and resources compared to 2022.  Families and professionals were inquiring about local resources specifically seeking inclusive patient centered services. More individuals called YES Institute’s office asking where they can find food, homeless shelters, and rehabilitation centers welcoming transgender and queer folks. We have truly become The Source for Knowledge on Gender & Orientation™.

YES Institute creates avenues for all families to better understand and learn about gender and orientation by providing educational courses, linkage to community resources, youth empowerment programming, medical and mental health referrals, and parental peer support.

Our team offers referrals to trusted medical and mental health providers, connects parents to one another, facilitates a Youth Empowerment Support group, and oftentimes we are a community space for families to know they are not alone.

“My child wouldn’t be alive today if it were not for the help we received from YES!” – parent and volunteer (Tori)

If you or someone you know is looking to connect with a welcoming service, we ask that you reach out via phone or email. We require appointments to meet in-person. YES Institute does not provide direct services, rather our team offers lists of trusted practitioners and makes linkages to community services that are sought out. YES Institute’s team of volunteers and staff are trained to lead meetings where they share their life experiences in a responsible manner, and listen to those that have not been heard. These meetings and referrals are free of charge to the community thanks to support from The Our Fund Foundation.
