YES Institute is actively engaging with a variety of communities through a wide range of recent workshops and presentations. We partnered with the University of Miami to educate nursing students about inclusion and patient-centered care for gender- and orientation-diverse populations. Our Essentials of Gender & Orientation course created space for youth and families to share their journeys and explore challenges related to identity and belonging. We recently facilitated two sessions for Palm Beach Parks and Recreation summer camp for middle schoolers, focused on well-being practices and preventing bullying rooted in stereotypes, and we joined First Star Academy students for a conversation about stereotypes and bullying prevention. We also collaborated with SAGE of South Florida (Senior Action in a Gay Environment) for a lunch & learn at The Pride Center at Equality Park in Wilton Manors, FL, on trauma-informed, person-centered care for LGBTQ+ elders.
We’re excited to continue these vital conversations in our upcoming courses. Join us in person at YES Institute for our Communication Solutions™ course on September 6 and 7. This interactive, two-day experience introduces a groundbreaking approach to dialogue—especially when faced with conflict, disagreement, or resistance. Participants learn how to move beyond fight-or-flight reactions to build authentic relationships and generate new outcomes in families, schools, workplaces, and communities.
On Tuesday, September 30th, we’ll host the next Essentials of Gender & Orientation course, open to anyone seeking greater understanding, connection, and confidence navigating topics of gender and orientation.
