Parents, caregivers, and families

This interactive session gives parents and caregivers practical tools to support their children’s emotional development and mental health. Through a quiz-based format, participants learn to recognize emotions, understand how emotions connect to mental well-being, and build healthy coping strategies for stress.

Topics include simple self-regulation techniques like deep breathing, why kids model adults’ actions around stress more than their words, age-appropriate sleep needs for brain development, the role of social connection in resilience, and early signs that a child may be overwhelmed. The quiz format keeps participants engaged and helps the material stick — supporting the event’s goal of strengthening fathers’ involvement in their children’s education.
