This past month, YES Institute had the privilege of delivering a four-hour Communication Toolbox workshop for the staff of The Child Care Center, Inc. at Riviera Presbyterian Church, at the YES Institute education center.

The session focused on both internal staff communication and communication with parents, equipping participants with practical tools for showing up more fully in every interaction. One participant’s reflection from the post-program survey captured it beautifully:

“I learned that communication is not just about speaking clearly, but also about paying attention, asking questions, and making sure the other person feels heard. In the workplace, I can use attentive listening when communicating with coworkers, supervisors, and customers or parents to avoid misunderstandings, build trust, and solve problems more effectively.”
