A message from Tori

Dear Parents of Trans Youth,

Hi. I have been in your shoes and I know how you are feeling at this very moment. You’re scared, you’re confused, you’re angry, and you’re feeling completely at a loss about where to start and what to do.

In our journey with our child, we followed their lead and listened to what they told us they needed. And for us, it was the right way to go.

You will realize that that same beautiful child you hugged, kissed, and nurtured as an infant is still the same soul.

For us, we found that our lives grew to become much richer and as an entire family much more loving and appreciative of everything that happened during and after the transition.

Our child went from a very dark place to thriving and having many friends and the love of family.

So nothing really has to change. You may feel like everything is changing, but through your love and acceptance of your child you will find that they will come out of this stronger. As will you.
