Raised in a strict, binary way of thinking, Patricia found herself in unfamiliar territory when, as she puts it, “life gave me a transgender child.” Her family felt lost and scared, unsure where to turn. That is when YES Institute entered their lives.

“My job as a parent to guide and support was done in the best possible way because of YES Institute,” she shares. More than a decade later, she describes her child as wonderful, well-adjusted, and thriving, like so many other young people who receive the same support.
