Although it’s called Give Miami Day, you actually have almost a full week to support YES Institute. Online giving opens at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026, and stays open through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Whenever you’re ready to give during that window, your gift counts toward our Give Miami Day total — so please give at whatever time works best for you.

Give Miami Day is Miami-Dade’s 24-hour community giving day, presented by The Miami Foundation. It’s a simple, meaningful way to stand with YES Institute as we work to prevent suicide and support the healthy development of all youth through open, compassionate communication and education on gender and orientation.

Become a Peer-to-Peer Champion

Want to multiply your impact? Set up your own Champion fundraising page through Give Miami Day and invite the people in your life to join you in supporting YES Institute — no fundraising experience needed. How to set up your Champion page:

  1. Go to our Give Miami Day profile and click “Fundraise” to create your free donor account.
  2. From your donor portal, select “My Champion Pages” and start a new page for YES Institute.
  3. Give your page a title and a unique URL (for example, GiveMiamiDay.org/YourName4YES) — this is the link you’ll share with your network.
  4. Personalize it, if you’d like — share why YES Institute matters to you, and add photos or a video. Anything you include will be visible to the public.
  5. Publish right away, or save your page as a draft until you’re ready to share.

Then, share it: Post your unique link on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or send it directly by text or email. Every share helps introduce someone new to our work. Our Branding & Social Media Toolkit (below) has ready-made graphics and sample posts you’re welcome to pair with your own story.

Give Miami 5K Race & Festival

Prefer to move your miles for a cause? The Give Miami 5K Race & Festival takes place the weekend before the giving day:

  • When: Sunday, November 15, 2026 at 8:00 AM
  • Where: Maurice A. Ferré Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132
  • How it helps: 100% of each registration fee goes directly to the nonprofit the runner selects — please consider choosing YES Institute as your beneficiary when you register.
