In response to increasing requests for conversations centered on well-being and resiliency, YES Institute has been meeting the community where they are—offering dialogues and courses that equip professionals, students, and community members with tools to navigate stress, strengthen belonging, and prioritize self-care.
This quarter, our Powerful Communication for Well-Being course provided participants with mindfulness techniques and strategies for improving communication around personal and professional well-being. One participant shared, “I learned many useful tools that I look forward to applying in my future practice in mental health counseling. This also was a meaningful experience personally on learning about myself and not allowing my limiting beliefs to define me.”
We also partnered with The Our Fund Foundation to host A Mindful Path to Resilience at Wilton Manors, Florida City Hall—a session designed to help teams regulate emotions and develop resilience in the face of challenges.
Supporting student mental health remains a key focus. At Nova Southeastern University, we led Student Mental Health: Essential Tools for Support for their Pharmacology faculty, helping educators foster mental health support for their students. A participant reflected, “Excellent presentation for faculty to know how to better help our students and ourselves.”
In our work with Chrysalis Health, we facilitated Resiliency, Self-Care, and Mindfulness, a three-part interactive series for therapists, emphasizing self-care practices and boundary-setting. One therapist shared, “This course opened my eyes to focus more on my self-care activities and continue implementing boundaries to be a better therapist for my clients.”
At YES Institute, we recognize that resilience and well-being are essential to creating safer, more supportive communities. We are honored to continue offering these vital conversations and look forward to expanding these efforts in the months ahead.
