Join us for an afternoon of resource-sharing and community-building!
Youth and families are contacting our office seeking resources for mental health services. The Trevor Project recently released its 2024 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People. According to the Trevor Project’s latest findings:
-
- 39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year including almost half of transgender and nonbinary young people (46%) and 3 in 10 cisgender young people (30%).
- 50% of LGBTQ+ young people who wanted mental health care in the past year were not able to get it.
- Nearly half (49%) of LGBTQ+ young people ages 13-17 experienced bullying in the past year, and those who did reported significantly higher rates of attempting suicide in the past year than those who did not experience bullying.
