Terrance TJ Johnson joins the YES Institute as the Education & Inclusion Specialist. He leads various discussions and trainings around gender identity and sexual orientation diversity topics.

TJ was born a raised in Miami, FL and identifies as a proud trans man. He came out as transgender while serving as the vice president of his sorority in undergrad. TJ graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Political Science and a BS in Psychology. He also has a M. Ed. in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia. TJ has experience in working with college students to help them find and amplify their voices as well as facilitating and leading discussions around a wide range of diversity topics. 

He is passionate about advocating for young people and engaging in courageous conversations that help to broaden people’s views of themselves and the world around them. He enjoys music, playing guitar, and watching Marvel/DC movies and shows.
