This past weekend, families gathered for a moving conversation with Sole’s Mom author Isabelle Camille and her son, Sky Guilbaud. Over shared Haitian food and powerful storytelling, they explored the journey of raising a transgender child and the importance of open dialogue, community, and love. Hosted by YES Institute, the event embodied what it means to create safe, supportive spaces for all families.

7th Annual Bowling with a Purpose – A Striking Success!

Sunday, August 10th, our community came together for YES Institute’s 7th Annual Bowling with a Purpose Tournament fundraiser – and it was one for the books! Families and friends filled twelve lanes, enjoying friendly competition while celebrating our mission to prevent suicide and ensure the healthy development of all youth.

This summer, the YES Institute had the privilege of leading powerful, interactive workshops for two inspiring youth leadership programs: Camp MetroTown, hosted by Mosaic Miami, and the First Star Academy at the University of Miami, which supports college readiness for youth with a foster care experience.
