This year’s Give Miami Day was nothing short of remarkable. The generosity of our community deeply moves us. Ninety-three donations and $105,645 raised are a powerful testament to what’s possible when people come together with purpose.

This past weekend, families gathered for a moving conversation with Sole’s Mom author Isabelle Camille and her son, Sky Guilbaud. Over shared Haitian food and powerful storytelling, they explored the journey of raising a transgender child and the importance of open dialogue, community, and love. Hosted by YES Institute, the event embodied what it means to create safe, supportive spaces for all families.
We’re proud to celebrate our long-standing partnership with the University of Miami, rooted in shared values of education and community care. Together, we’ve led courses, workshops, and research that support youth, families, and emerging professionals across disciplines.
We are grateful to Care Resource for the opportunity to support their teams with these conversations. Leadership development and resiliency are essential foundations for creating workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
Sunday, August 10th, our community came together for YES Institute’s 7th Annual Bowling with a Purpose Tournament fundraiser – and it was one for the books! Families and friends filled twelve lanes, enjoying friendly competition while celebrating our mission to prevent suicide and ensure the healthy development of all youth.
YES Institute is actively engaging with a variety of communities through a wide range of recent workshops and presentations. We partnered with the University of Miami to educate nursing students about inclusion and patient-centered care for gender- and orientation-diverse populations.
