OUR COMMITMENT TO EQUITY & INCLUSION
YES Institute’s vision is a community in which all youth are free of suicide, violence, and discrimination.
Through the course of our mission and work, there have been many critical moments that have had us pause and reflect on inequities and prejudices impacting us all. This is one of those moments.
Out of our commitment to all people experiencing respect, equity, dignity, and belonging, we stand with our Black community members in the United States and throughout the world.
Using communication and education to address barriers of “us” vs. “them”, we seek to create environments where urgent conversations about many topics – gender, orientation, skin color, ability, nationality, political affiliation, economic status, education level, faith – can be honored, included, and welcomed.
We are committed to having the greatest impact yet in the communities we serve. Inside our stand for all people and for our vision to be realized, we are deepening our learning and engaging in essential equity and inclusion conversations.
