What skills and expertise do you bring to the team?

With a background in graphic design, I bring my illustration and creative skills to the team, to help push the visual impact of YES Institute’s message.

What do you find most rewarding about your internship?

The most rewarding thing about this internship is definitely knowing that I am supporting an organization I firmly believe in and that I am making an impact in the community by doing so.

What has YES Institute done that you’re particularly proud of?

I appreciate everything YES Institute has done. The efforts the organization has made to educate as many people as possible about gender and orientation really makes me proud. Education is the first step to acceptance.

What learning experience had the biggest impact on who you are now?

I think that moving out of a sheltered life at a private school and making a switch to public school really opened the floodgates to my identity and my knowledge of gender and orientation, as well as my passion for education and storytelling.

After the YES Institute dialogue, I now feel more knowledgeable to support my clients and families.
