I have been involved with YES for about 15 years now.  In spite of the drastic changes we have seen culturally in this time regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, there is still a great deal of work which needs to be done.  Education is the most important tool available to help decrease bullying and suicide in gay and transgender youth, which is precisely where YES’ work is so important. Working with YES Institute is my attempt to do my part to help with this struggle.

The educational work of YES Institute is unparalleled to any other organization I know, locally or nationally. I feel lucky that our students have this precious opportunity of open dialogue and learning on the topics of gender and orientation.
