I have been involved with YES for about 15 years now.  In spite of the drastic changes we have seen culturally in this time regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, there is still a great deal of work which needs to be done.  Education is the most important tool available to help decrease bullying and suicide in gay and transgender youth, which is precisely where YES’ work is so important. Working with YES Institute is my attempt to do my part to help with this struggle.

This is an organization with a track record of making a real difference in the world. Political victories mean little if the hearts and minds of parents, clergy, and teachers do not change.
