Upcoming Course: Gender Continuum >>>

EulaLee Bartley

What skills and expertise do you bring to the team?

I have a background in teaching, as well as nursing. I think of myself of being able to express qualities such as care, compassion and understanding through skilled communication to arrive at outcomes beneficial to all.

What do you find most rewarding about your internship?

Through my career, I interact with individuals with a range of experiences around gender and orientation. The most rewarding aspect about the intern experience is that I get to attend live presentations and learn some tools on how to engage in healthy dialogue.

What has YES Institute done that you’re particularly proud of?

It is quite an eye-opener realizing that a place like the YES Institute exists right here in Miami. I am pleased that they are providing avenues to all aspect of the community to have the much-needed conversation around gender and orientation.

After taking the course, A Communication Called "Bullying" I plan to begin addressing these topics in our school and community with the various stakeholders including, but not limited to teachers, administrators, support personnel, parents, community leaders and students.
